Gail Gosschalk was born in London to a French mother and a South African father in 1981. Having trained at the Wimbledon School of Art, she specialised in conceptual research for Womenswear fashion design in Newcastle. Work for trend agencies led her from New York to Paris, where she started her career as an artistic director before dedicating her career to freelance illustration and her drawing. She enjoys exhibiting her personal work in galleries in the most beautiful cities around the world. She counts Hermès, Unicef and Gieves & Hawkes amongst her clients, and her tailor-made services include portraits, lettering, wedding design and interior decoration as well as bespoke private commissions.
After seven years head-over-heels in Paris, she moved to Rome for another two, before two years in the Old City of Jerusalem, four in Beirut, and now happily to Madrid, where she draws and draws and draws.
