She was the first, born June 24th like me, the day the womens' driving ban was lifted in Saudi Arabia. Nour was the first of my rebel spirits to welcome in a growing collection of illustrations inspired by the incredible activists changing the shape of society in the Middle East.

Drawn with pen, and ink on a vintage envelope found in the rubble of an old paper shop in Beirut called La Luna, held in a file dated 1972, with cuttings from an Arabic textbook I don't pretent to understand.

Nour is available in petite (28 x 13 cms) and standard formats (42 x 19 cms)
